Platinol
Platinol - get all the information on Platinol, aq PlatinolGeneric Name: Cisplatin Platinol is a platinum coordination complex. Platinol causes cross linking of DNA; favoured site being N7 of guanine residue. Platinol can also react with-SH groups in proteins and has radiomimetic property. Platinol is bound to plasma proteins, enters, tissues & is slowly excreted unchanged in urine. Platinol is very effective in metastatic testicular & ovarian carcinoma. Platinol has found use in some other solid tumours as well. Indications of Platinol
Dosage: Admn by slow infusion 10-60 mg or as required. Contra Indications: Pregnancy, lactation, hypersensitivity, renal impairment. Special Precautions of Platinol drug
