Ceftibuten is used to treat infections of the lungs, kidneys, bladder, skin and soft tissues, and infections in the blood (septicemia). Ceftibuten is an antibiotic that belongs to a group of drugs called cephalosporins which are used in the treatment of infections caused by bacteria. They work by killing bacteria or preventing their growth. This drug is available in the form of oral suspension or Capsules. Possible Side effects of CeftibutenAlong with its needed effects, a medicine may cause some unwanted effects. Although not all of these side effects may occur, if they do occur they may need medical attention.
Dosage and dosing of CeftibutenThe doses of these medicines will be different for different patients. Follow your doctor's orders or the directions on the label. If it is almost time for your next dose, skip the dose you missed and take only your next regularly scheduled dose. Do not take a double dose of this medication.
